Hi! Nice to meet you!
I’m Caitlin. I’m a queer, white, cis woman and a certified trauma and abuse recovery coach, poet, and writing mentor based in Seattle, WA. I'm currently taking clients online in Pacific Standard time. Sign up for a free consult call.
Growing up, I thought there was something wrong with me.
I was soo anxious, often sad, and felt different from everyone around me. It felt bigger and more out of my control than whatever "normal teenage ups and downs" were supposed to be, but I kept it to myself. After being introduced to poetry and journaling, writing became my outlet—it helped, for a while. But eventually, the pain I was holding in started showing up as flashbacks and suicidal thoughts. In college, I started therapy and was diagnosed with complex PTSD from childhood trauma. That diagnosis felt like the missing piece of a puzzle. Finally, things made sense. I was daunted, but I also felt hopeful.
Today, I want to help others navigate their own recovery through coaching and expressive writing.
My approach is client-led, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you are not broken. You are responding—bravely—to what you’ve been through.
Maybe you're feeling stuck in old patterns, triggered, anxious, or disconnected? Old coping mechanisms just not working anymore? I’ve been there.
My goal is to help you strengthen your sense of self-trust so you can feel empowered and capable, whether that's by building on your self-care toolkit, calling on somatic strategies, identifying triggers, or just holding space for you and your story.
